Testing Astra + Blender

Starting from the same 3D structure, I created two completely different worlds:

- a dark comedy,
- a monster-disaster sci-fi horror film.

Same camera choreography. Different prompt. Different genre, atmosphere, light and story.
The blockout keeps hold of the things that can easily go wrong in text-to-video:

- camera path
- speed and timing
- spatial continuity
- scale
- composition

That leaves the generative model free to focus on the good stuff: cinematic light, materials, atmosphere and performance.

This changes the role of an Art Director. We have always built visual libraries: references, artists, photographers, films, visual codes.

Now we also need to build reusable libraries of camera moves, spatial structures, lighting setups, atmospheres and directing systems, assets that can be tested across entirely different creative worlds.

For more ambitious camera moves, prompting alone is not direction. Previs is.

The Art Director is becoming an AI Creative Director: not just choosing an aesthetic, but designing a system that can generate and test many of them.
